Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi recently addressed concerns about the increasing number of visa rejections for Pakistanis traveling to the UAE and other Gulf countries. Speaking to the media, he assured the public that the government is taking the matter seriously and working actively to resolve it.
Naqvi revealed that formal discussions with the UAE’s Interior Minister are expected soon. He emphasized that improving access for Pakistani travelers is a top priority and expressed hope that there would be good news in the coming days.
The issue isn't limited to the UAE—talks are also underway with officials in Kuwait and Oman to ease travel restrictions for Pakistani citizens. These efforts aim to make it easier for Pakistanis to travel and work in the Gulf region.
Beyond visa matters, the Interior Minister shared the government’s broader goal of improving the reputation of the Pakistani passport. He said several steps are being taken to strengthen Pakistan’s global mobility and passport ranking.
Naqvi ended his briefing on an optimistic note, highlighting that the government is finally addressing long-standing issues like water management. Overall, his message was clear: reforms are underway, and Pakistan is moving in the right direction.
